Chemical CRM

In chemical sales the customer buys not the product but the result in their own process; the sample is trialled on their own line and approval takes weeks. When the conditions the trial was run under and which batch was approved are not written down, the next shipment does not give the same result.

The lot number is a field on the order line; when a complaint comes in about a batch, every customer shipped from that lot is gathered in a list filtered on that field.

Chemical CRM
  • Move the sample request, the trial conditions and the approval decision forward on a single opportunity record
  • Link the shipped batch number to the customer order, and filter the affected customers from that field when a complaint comes in
  • Attach the technical data sheet and the safety data sheet to the record and track which version went to whom
  • See the number of returnable drums and IBCs held at the customer on the account record, and open the collection task from there
Sample and TrialA sample request is a stage on the opportunity record; the trial condition and its result are in the card's fields, and the approval decision stays on the same record.
Batch TrackingThe lot number is a field on the order line; every customer shipped from that batch is gathered in a list filtered on that field.
Product DocumentsThe technical data sheet and the safety data sheet are attachments linked to the record; because sending leaves a trace in the record history, versions do not get mixed up.
Returnable PackagingThe number of drums and IBCs held at the customer is a field on the account record; collection is opened as a task linked to that field.

In chemicals the answer to a complaint is almost always in the batch number: when the customer says “it wasn't like the last one”, the place to look is which lot was shipped to them and when. When that information stays on the dispatch paperwork and never reaches the customer file, the technical team asks the warehouse the same question, the warehouse asks production, and the customer waits in between. The same scatter is there in the documents; nowhere is it written which version of the safety data sheet was sent to whom.

Rapitek CRM moves the sample request, the trial conditions and the approval decision forward on a single opportunity record; the lot number shipped stays on the order line under the customer account. When a complaint is opened, how many customers were affected by that batch is filtered from the same field. Because the technical data sheet and the safety data sheet are attached to the record, which version went to whom is not searched for afterwards either.

The scope of the plans and the separately priced items are set out on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Can we find from the CRM which customer a shipped batch went to?
Yes. The lot number is a field on the order line; when a complaint comes in about a batch, every customer shipped from that lot is listed with a single filter. Because a notification task can be opened from the same list, who was contacted also stays on the record.
How are the safety data sheet and the technical data sheet sent to the customer?
The documents are attached to the product and customer record; because sending is written into the record history, which version went to whom and on what date can be read afterwards. When a document is updated, the list of customers it has to be sent to again comes out of the same records.
Where do we track the returnable drums and IBCs held at the customer?
The number of drums and IBCs at the customer is a field on the account record; collection is opened as a task linked to that field, and how many containers are left at which customer is read from the list on the same field.
Which is the best CRM software for the chemical industry?
When choosing a CRM for the chemical industry you should look at sector workflows, integration capabilities, customisation options and the quality of support. You do not set Rapitek CRM up, we do: we configure the fields, the stages and the reports around your chemical process, we migrate your data, and we train your team in Turkish. Before we built our own platform our team completed more than 200 enterprise CRM projects in its Salesforce years; we carry out the setup with that experience.
How much does a chemicals CRM system cost?
We keep current plan prices in one place and publish them openly on our pricing page; we do not put figures on this page, so that you do not read a different price in two places. The price is set by the number of users and the plan chosen. The scope of setup, data migration and training is not the same on every project; the scope and the setup fee, if any, are worked out together in the discovery call and shared in writing. Rapi artificial intelligence credit and ERP integration are separately priced items.
How are CRM integrations done in the chemical industry?
If you use Logo, Netsis, Mikro or SAP, your CRM talks to it — we build the connection. There is no out-of-the-box module: because the access and field structure on the ERP side change from one installation to the next, a single button does not work the same way everywhere. The connection is built for each project over our REST API covering 183 business objects, OAuth2, webhooks and import/export. We work out the scope and the cost in the discovery call and share them in writing.
How does the move to a CRM system work in the chemical industry?
We start with a discovery call: we map out your chemical process, which fields and which stages are needed, together. After the call we give you a date, not a range. We migrate your data and we train your team in Turkish. There is no call centre on our support line. Your question is answered by the team that builds and develops the product — this is a choice, not a matter of capacity.
Can mobile CRM be used for chemicals?
Yes. Field and branch teams can update the customer card, notes and follow-up tasks from their phone. The app is live on both the App Store and Google Play. The web interface also works on tablets and phones. The app does not work offline; if the connection drops while you are filling in a form, what you have typed is kept on the device for 24 hours.
