Dermatology Clinic CRM

In dermatology the diagnosis is read from change over time; if a mole's state six months ago sits in another file, the doctor is forced to make the comparison from memory.

Lesion photos, pathology reports and prescription history sit in one patient record in date order; for chronic diagnoses the 1, 3 and 6-month follow-ups open in the calendar.

Dermatology Clinic CRM
  • Store the lesion and rash photographs taken during examinations in date order and compare before and after
  • Keep chronic diagnoses such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo in a field on the patient record; open the 1, 3 and 6-month follow-ups in the calendar as dated tasks tied to that field
  • Attach laboratory and pathology result reports to the patient card as files and review them together with the examination history in suspicious lesions
  • Keep prescription history on the patient card and run repeat prescription reminders and side effect notifications
  • For follow-up consultations paste the Zoom or Google Meet link you opened yourself into the link field on the appointment record, and review the photographs the patient sent in advance before the consultation
Dermatology Photo ArchiveEvery lesion, mole and rash photograph taken during an examination is added to the patient record with its date; before and after are read side by side on the same card.
Chronic Disease Follow-upThe acne, psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo diagnosis is a field on the patient record; the 1, 3 and 6-month follow-ups fall into the calendar as dated tasks tied to that field.
Biopsy and Pathology Result ArchiveThe laboratory result report is attached to the patient record as a file; in suspicious lesion diagnoses the pathology report is read next to the lesion record. We build the connection to the laboratory system ourselves; there is no out-of-the-box module — it is set up specifically for the project over REST API, OAuth2, webhooks and import/export, and where it is not built the clinic staff upload the report themselves.
Prescription and Medication Follow-upPrescription history sits on the patient card as a list; the repeat prescription reminder is a dated task and the side effect note is written under the same record.
Telemedicine Meeting LinkThere is a meeting link field on the appointment record; you open the Zoom or Google Meet meeting in your own account and paste the link into this field, and the reminder message carries this link. There is no out-of-the-box Zoom/Meet module.

A dermatology patient does not come once and be done with it: a patient diagnosed with psoriasis or eczema returns at intervals for years, the medication changes in between, the severity shifts with the season. When the complaint eases the patient skips the follow-up and the next visit comes with a flare-up; and with a suspicious lesion the whole thing comes down to who noticed that the biopsy result had arrived.

Rapitek CRM ties the chronic diagnosis to the calendar, so the follow-up appointment is not left to the patient's memory. For acne follow-up a standard template is ready that holds the active lesions on a face map, the products used and the treatment duration. Because each lesion is tracked as a separate record, the change in size, colour and border pattern can be measured; which change turns into an alert and reaches the doctor is set as a rule during setup.

Frequently asked questions

How is skin lesion follow-up done?
A separate record is opened for each lesion. Size, colour and border pattern are fields on that record and are updated at every examination. You define which change counts as suspicious; lesions that pass the threshold fall into a list, and you set the alert going to the dermatologist as a rule during setup.
How is acne treatment followed?
There is a standard follow-up template for acne patients. The active lesions on a face map, the products used and the treatment duration are recorded. The treatment start date is a field; the 1st, 3rd and 6th month follow-ups open as tasks tied to that date, and the ones whose date is approaching fall into a list.
Can pathology results be seen on the patient card?
Yes, once the report is attached to the patient record as a file; the doctor reviews the result on the card together with the examination history and sends the patient a message. We build the connection to the laboratory system ourselves; there is no out-of-the-box module. The connection is set up specifically for the project over our REST API covering 183 business objects, OAuth2, webhooks and import/export; we share its scope and cost in writing at the discovery meeting. Where this connection is not built, the clinic staff who receive the result from the laboratory upload the report to the patient record themselves; the person who uploaded it and the date are written into the record, and a result that has not been uploaded does not appear on the card.
How are telemedicine appointments arranged?
We build the Zoom and Google Meet connection on request; there is no out-of-the-box module. The connection is set up specifically for the project over our REST API covering 183 business objects, OAuth2, webhooks and import/export; we share its scope and cost in writing at the discovery meeting. Without this being built you use the meeting link field on the appointment record: you open the meeting in your own account, you paste the link into this field, and the reminder that goes to the patient carries this link. The patient sends the photographs 24 hours before the appointment and the doctor reviews them before the consultation.
