Farming CRM
On a farm the income is squeezed into a few weeks: when the harvest starts, how much each buyer will take has been agreed by word of mouth and written down nowhere. The same week the seasonal crew goes out to the fields, and in the evening people try to remember who worked on which parcel.
A buyer is an account record; the quantity, price and delivery period discussed sit on the record linked to it. In Rapitek CRM commitments whose period is approaching drop into a list.
- Keep buyers on an account record and write down the quantity, price and delivery period discussed before the harvest
- Link the parcel and the crop variety to the record and trace which field's produce went where
- Define the seasonal crew's shifts and take field check-in from the mobile app with location verification
- Send delivery and dispatch information to the buyer by SMS or WhatsApp from the same record
| Buyer Account | The broker, the supermarket and the wholesaler are each an account record; the agreed price and quantity sit in the account's fields, and deliveries accumulate under the card. |
|---|---|
| Harvest Period Commitment | The delivery period is the record's date field; commitments whose period is approaching drop into a list, and the preparation task is opened from that list. |
| Parcel and Crop | The parcel and the crop variety are fields on the record; which field's produce went to which buyer is read from the report on those fields. |
| Seasonal Crew Shift | Shifts and working hours are defined in the system; field check-in is taken from the mobile app, the location is verified and mock location detection is active. |
In a farming business sales do not run through a single channel: the wholesale market broker, the supermarket chain, the wholesaler and the consumer buying direct are all after the same harvest, and a separate price and a separate quantity are agreed with each of them. Those promises are given weeks before the harvest, over the phone; when the crop comes in, people try to remember who was set aside how much, and a quantity promised to one buyer is loaded onto someone else's truck.
In Rapitek CRM the buyer is an account record; the quantity, price and delivery period discussed sit on the record linked to that account, and as the period approaches the list of commitments comes out by itself. The parcel and the crop variety are fields on the same record, so which field's produce went where can be traced afterwards. The seasonal crew's shift and working hours are defined in the system, and field check-in is taken from the mobile app with location verification; delivery information is sent to the buyer by SMS or WhatsApp from the same record.
The scope of the plans and the items priced separately are set out on the pricing page.
