Plastics CRM

In plastics production a quote lives only as long as the raw material price does; when the resin line moves, a price given two weeks ago books a loss. At the same time the customer agrees on an annual quantity but draws the order monthly, so how much of the agreed quantity is left needs constant tracking.

A quote carries fields for its validity date and the raw material price it rests on. When the resin line moves, expired quotes gather in one list and the revision call opens as a task from it.

Plastics CRM
  • Write the validity date and the raw material price it rests on onto the quote, and gather expired quotes in a separate list
  • Show the different unit prices for one thousand, ten thousand and fifty thousand pieces on the line items of the same quote
  • Attach the monthly draws of the annual agreement to orders and follow how much of the agreed quantity is left
  • Write the shipment batch to the record; when a complaint comes in, attach the case to the batch concerned and to the customers affected
Quote Validity FieldThe quote is a record with fields for its validity date and for the raw material price it rests on; the ones that have expired gather in a single list through the filter on that date.
Tiered Pricing by QuantityThe quantity tiers are the line items of the quote; each line holds a quantity field and a unit price field, and the price applied to the order comes from that line.
Annual Agreement and DrawsThe agreement is a record and the monthly draws are order lines attached to it; the remaining quantity is the difference between the agreed quantity and the total of those lines.
Injection BatchThe shipment batch is a field on the order record; a complaint is opened as a case record and attached to the batch that was moulded, and the other customers shipped from the same batch are listed through the filter on that field.

In plastic injection the hard part of selling is not calculating the price but knowing how long the calculated price will stay valid. The moment the resin cost and the exchange rate move, some of the open quotes become invalid; but because the quotes sit in separate files, which customer was promised which raw material price on which date has to be looked up one by one. On top of that come the quantity tiers: the unit price for a thousand pieces and for fifty thousand is not the same, and when the customer orders a small batch and reminds you of the large batch price, there is no record to put on the table.

In Rapitek CRM the quote carries fields for its validity date and for the raw material price it rests on; the ones that have expired gather in a separate list, and the revision call opens as a task from that list. Because the quantity tiers sit on the line items of the quote, which price applies at which quantity does not stay open to argument. The annual agreement is a record and the monthly draws are order lines attached to it; the remaining quantity is calculated from those lines. The shipment batch is written to the record as well, so when a complaint comes in, which batch the product came out of can be read backwards.

What the plans cover and which items are priced separately are set out on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

How do we find which quotes need updating when the raw material price changes?
On the quote record the validity date and the raw material price it rests on are separate fields; quotes that have expired or that were given before a certain date are gathered in a single list through a filter. The revision call is opened as a task on the records in that list.
When a complaint comes in, can we see which batch the product came out of?
Because the shipment batch is a field on the order record, the complaint case is attached directly to that batch. The other customers shipped from the same batch are listed through the filter on the same field; they are informed from that list rather than by calling one by one.
Where do we see how much of the annual agreement is left?
The annual agreement is a record of its own; the monthly draws sit as order lines attached to it. The remaining quantity is the difference between the agreed quantity and the total of those lines, and it is read off the agreement record; no separate spreadsheet is kept.
Which is the best CRM software for plastics?
When choosing a CRM for the plastics sector you should look at sector-specific workflows, integration capabilities, customisation options and the quality of support. You do not set Rapitek CRM up yourself, we set it up: we configure the fields, the stages and the reports around your plastics production process, we migrate your data, and we train your team in Turkish. Before building our own platform our team completed more than 200 enterprise CRM projects in its Salesforce years; we carry out the setup with that experience.
How much does a Plastics CRM system cost?
We keep current plan prices in a single place and publish them openly on our pricing page; we do not put figures on this page, so that you never read two different prices in two places. The price is set by the number of users and the plan chosen. The scope of setup, data migration and training is not the same in every project; the scope and the setup fee, if any, are worked out together in the discovery call and shared in writing. The Rapi artificial intelligence credit and the ERP integration are separately priced items.
How are CRM integrations done in the plastics sector?
If you use Logo, Netsis, Mikro or SAP, your CRM talks to it — we build the connection. There is no out-of-the-box module: because the access rights and the field structure on the ERP side change from one installation to the next, a single button does not work the same way everywhere. The connection is built specifically for the project over our REST API covering 183 business objects, OAuth2, webhooks and import/export. We work out the scope and the fee in the discovery call and share them in writing.
How does the move to a CRM system work in the plastics sector?
We start with a discovery call: together we work out your plastics production process and which fields and which stages are needed. After the call we give you a date, not a range. We migrate your data, and we train your team in Turkish. There is no call centre on our support line. Your question is answered by the team that built and develops the product — this is a choice, not a matter of capacity.
Can a mobile CRM be used for plastics?
Yes. Field and branch teams can update the customer card, the note and the follow-up task from their phones. The app is live on both the App Store and Google Play. The web interface works on tablets and phones as well. The app does not work offline; if the connection drops while you are filling in a form, what you have written is kept on the device for 24 hours.
