In the aviation supply and maintenance chain, work does not pass through a single place: the customer asks about a part, the technical team checks availability, purchasing writes to the supplier, and only then does a quote appear. When that chain runs over e-mail, two things get lost most often — when the request arrived, and what was promised for delivery.
