Solar Panel Installation CRM
In installation the work starts after the sale closes: the survey appointment, the material reaching the site, the day the crew is on the roof, and commissioning. When one of these steps slips, the crew's day is wasted and the customer learns nothing unless they call.
Every installation is a work order record; crew, date and site address are its fields. Warranty expiry and periodic maintenance dates sit on the same record, and sites that are due drop onto a list.
- Plan the survey, installation and commissioning steps on the work order record, and see crew and date clashes on the calendar
- Add the roof measurement and site photos to the record from the mobile app, and confirm the crew's arrival on site with GPS verification
- Have the handover report signed on site from the signature screen in the mobile app, and keep the signed document attached to the installation record
- Keep warranty and periodic maintenance dates on the installation record, and let sites due for maintenance drop onto a list
| Work Order | Every installation is a record; crew, planned date and site address are in its fields, and the stages from survey to commissioning move forward on that record. |
|---|---|
| Site Verification | The crew's arrival on site is marked from the mobile app; the location is verified by GPS and fake location reports are detected. |
| Handover Report | The person taking delivery signs the commissioning report on the signature screen in the mobile app; the signed document is attached to the installation record and read from there in a warranty dispute. |
| Maintenance Calendar | Warranty expiry and periodic maintenance are date fields on the installation record; sites that fall due drop onto a list, and the visit task is opened from that list. |
The installation crew's day is spent on site, while the information stays in the office. The roof measurements taken at the survey are on one person's phone, when the material shipment left is in another exchange of messages, and which crew will be where on which day is on the calendar on the wall. This scatter breaks two things: two jobs get given to the same crew on the same day, and once the job is done, where the handover report and the photos went is only looked for months later when a warranty argument comes up. The period after installation is not managed either — periodic cleaning and inspection visits are on nobody's agenda until the customer complains.
In Rapitek CRM every installation is a work order record; crew, date and site address sit in its fields. The roof photo and measurement note taken at the survey are added to that same record from the mobile app, the crew's arrival on site is verified by GPS, and fake location reports are detected. At commissioning, the person taking delivery signs the handover report on the signature screen in the mobile app and the document is tied to the record. Because the warranty end date and the periodic maintenance date are also fields on the same record, installations due for maintenance drop onto a list by themselves; a fault call, meanwhile, is opened as a request record tied to that installation.
The scope of the plans and the separately priced items are written on the pricing page.
